“ My favorite sushi spot in Portland! Located in an unassuming neighborhood, parking is limited. This sushi spot is small and a bit more intimate, so make sure to book reservations! Staff is kind and service is quick here. You order from a QR code and the food is brought out to you! When I came, I ordered a variety of nigiri, unique pieces (uni and wagyu bite!) and appetizers. Everything was beyond phenomenal. All of the cuts of fish that I had were so soft, fresh, and high-quality. I also truly loved how they paid attention to the details of each piece and added complimentary flavors (ie. truffle). Genuinely an amazing dining experience, and nothing like anything else I've had in Portland. ”

You can really tell they pay attention to every detail, from the freshness of the ingredients to the perfect balance of flavors. Their house sauces and soy sauce are incredible, and their chicken karaage is always fried to perfection--crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The way they enhance flavors with their combinations never fails to impress me. (not sure if it's always complimentary but they also gave us edamame to munch on at the start) Every visit is a great experience, and I always leave satisfied. “ Hidden gem alert! This is one of the best sushi restaurants I've been to. It's located in the middle of an unassuming neighborhood. There is parking in front of the restaurant, but it's limited once it gets busy. The restaurant itself has a cozy feeling and the staff is attentive. My friends and I were walk-ins on a Wednesday evening, but got seated immediately. Pretty sure with the limited parking and small capacity of the restaurant, reservations are preferred. The fish is so fresh, melts in your mouth, and might surprise you with an explosion of flavor. We ordered: - hamachi hand roll - unagi hand roll - salmon hand roll - hon maguro nigiri - salmon belly nigiri (not pictured) - temptation roll - salmonlicious roll Everything was a 10/10. My personal favorite was the temptation roll. Surprisingly, the subtle truffle mustard taste paired really well with the seared bluefin tuna and pickled radish inside. Also, the rice was so flavorful, but not overpowering and it complemented the fish. It was a tad bit expensive for the serving size, but each piece was delicious and worth it. I'm so glad I got to try this place out during my Portland trip. ”

“ The true definition of hidden gem - located in the middle of a residential area, there are some parking spaces right in the front. Highly recommended to make an appointment before coming here since it will get crowded. There is a small patio area to sit and wait if you're here too early. The store is not too big but very cozy and the staff are friendly. I like that they offer complimentary edamame as appetizers while you order and wait for your food. You can scan and order everything from your phone and I'm pleasantly surprised with both the quality and quantity of food we got. My personal favorites are the toro hand roll which comes with the personal omakase and the spider hand roll. They are comparable to high end omakase restaurants without the high bills and I'm super impressed by the freshness of the fish and taste. My only wish is that I live closer to this place so I can come here all the time. They are definitely one of my all time favorites! ”

“ The best sushi in town. I've been here 3 times and the fish is consistently fresh. It is on the pricier side but this is my go to spot if I'm craving high quality sushi. The menu offered a wide variety of options, from classic rolls to innovative creations. I particularly enjoyed their hand rolls especially the negi toro. I'm usually not a fan of uni but wow their uni was buttery and it didn't have that fishy/sea metallic taste. Make sure to get a side of kizami wasabi (chopped real wasabi stem), it makes everything taste 10x better. The service is always great. The staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to offer recommendations The place is very clean and chill. It's the perfect mixture for a casual lunch or a special occasion. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It is a smaller restaurant so I recommend making reservations ”

“ Yuubi Sushi is impeccable. Taste, Service, and unique flavors. This place was recommended to me by a local whom I met my first month here in Oregon. He had traveled over 24 different countries including Japan. They mentioned that this was very close to what they had experienced in Japan. So I took their word for it and was excited to see what Yuubi Sushi was all about. I've only had the chance to taste three rolls during my first visit. Yet, I was able to be immersed by so many delightful flavors. The first roll was The Temptation (salmon, avocado, pickled radish inside top with seared dried aged bluefin tuna hint of black pepper and truffle mustard) and this was my favorite roll out of the three. The mustard really brought out the flavors of the picked radish and umami flavors. Next, Salmonlicious (Ora King Salmon with cucumber inside tops with Ora King Salmon, fried salmon skin and yuzu kosho) was ordered side by side with The Temptation. The yuzu alone for a citrus lover like me, made my heart smile and left my stomach in a flutter (a good one). Lastly, The Insanity (dried aged japan yellowtail and cucumber inside top with Ora King Salmon, garlic albacore and truffle paste and seared with A5 wagyu fat). I appreciate the softness of this roll and the Smokey flavor from the dried aged yellowtail. My fiancé mentioned that he wanted to order more rolls, but knew that he shouldn't. I felt the same. I was a bit saddened that my stomach wasn't big enough to eat more sushi. But that only meant we have to come back to try the rest of the menu. I'm already thinking about my next visit :) ”
